We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of ADR Services to lead and expand our Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) initiatives within the nonprofit legal sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law and a passion for promoting equitable access to justice through arbitration and mediation. This role involves strategic business development, case management, and fostering relationships with clients, advocates, and industry partners to advance the use of ADR services.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for parties and mediators on assigned cases, making informed decisions in consultation with the Regional Vice President.
Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities to grow ADR services, developing strategic plans and pitches to potential clients.
Community Engagement: Actively participate in regional legal, business, and ADR communities, promoting the use of ADR services and building strong relationships with clients, prospects, and industry partners.
Presentations: Develop and deliver engaging presentations to various stakeholder groups, effectively communicating the organization's value proposition.
Case Administration: Manage assigned cases, ensuring information is accurately entered and maintained in the case management system, and making case-related decisions by applying knowledge of rules and procedures.
Arbitrator Support: Advise arbitrators on procedural hearing management and related issues.
Data Analysis: Analyze needs, problems, and trends of users, as well as the quality of service delivered, by pulling relevant metrics from the existing database; respond to inquiries regarding ADR services in a timely manner.
Quality Assurance: Participate in hearings/conferences and provide feedback and recommendations to the RVP to maintain or improve the quality and delivery of services.
Market Trends: Review and track trends regarding the regional markets where ADR services are provided.
Training Support: Assist with arbitrator training programs, education programs/conferences, and elections as necessary.
Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of case information and records; adhere to information security and data privacy policies.
Attendance: Demonstrate regular, reliable, and predictable job attendance.
On-Site Engagement: Attend on-site and in-person meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, legal, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of related work experience in a business development role, preferably in the legal services field, with a focus on real estate law; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Skills:
Proven track record of identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities.
Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
Ability to analyze data and trends to inform decision-making.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
