Job Description
We are seeking a Director, Transformation Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives within our U.S. business.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing large-scale transformation initiatives across CIT. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality.
You will serve as a senior individual contributor and key delivery leader, enabling transformational objectives by managing complex workstreams in close collaboration with leadership and colleagues.
This role requires a strategic thinker, strong communicator, and hands-on executor. This is more than a traditional transformation role—we are looking for a leader with proven experience driving sustainable impact and meaningful change.
The position requires Eastern or Central Time availability and occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-visibility transformation projects
Own delivery outcomes, dependencies, and benefits realization for assigned initiatives
Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor, managing expectations and driving alignment throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution
Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues
Apply project governance, reporting, and documentation standards
Support financial oversight, including tracking spend and assessing business case impacts
Drive continuous improvement by enhancing delivery processes, tools, and ways of working
Ensure alignment with regulatory, data privacy, and compliance requirements
Engage regularly with senior leadership on project status, risks, and outcomes
Required Skills and Experience
10+ years of experience in transformation, project management, or related roles
Proven track record leading complex, enterprise-wide or cross-functional initiatives
Experience managing large-scale change across people, processes, systems, and technology
Strong hands-on project management experience across multiple concurrent initiatives
Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and storytelling abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Six Sigma) preferred
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities
Ability to operate as a trusted partner focused on business transformation, not just task management
Consulting experience is a plus
