We are seeking a Development Manager to lead and support fundraising initiatives that strengthen our mission and expand our impact. This role is responsible for building donor relationships, managing grant opportunities, and developing partnerships that drive philanthropic support.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused fundraiser with experience in donor engagement, grant writing, and nonprofit fundraising strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Strategy
Develop and implement fundraising strategies to grow philanthropic support.
Identify opportunities with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
Track fundraising progress and provide updates to leadership.
Donor Relations
Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
Implement stewardship strategies to strengthen donor engagement and retention.
Create personalized donor communications and fundraising appeals.
Grant Writing & Management
Research and pursue grant opportunities from foundations and government agencies.
Prepare and submit grant applications and manage reporting requirements.
Track deadlines and ensure compliance with grant guidelines.
Corporate Partnerships
Develop relationships with corporate partners for sponsorships and donations.
Support corporate giving programs and employee engagement initiatives.
Events & Community Engagement
Support planning and execution of fundraising events such as donor receptions, galas, and community outreach programs.
Work with staff and volunteers to ensure successful events.
Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM system.
Analyze fundraising performance and prepare reports for leadership.
Assist with fundraising budgets and financial tracking.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).
3–5 years of fundraising or development experience, ideally in a nonprofit organization.
Experience with donor relations, grant writing, and fundraising campaigns.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience with Salesforce or nonprofit CRM systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
