Development Manager

Well established organization seeks an experienced, relationship-driven Development Manager to expand our donor base, strengthen recurring giving, and support a growing fundraising program. This role is ideal for a development professional who thrives in relationship-building, systems creation, and community engagement.
The Development Manager will play a key role in increasing annual revenue, growing recurring monthly donors, and serving as a visible ambassador for the organization within the Central Florida community.
Position Overview
The Development Manager supports individual donor acquisition and stewardship, manages donor systems and events, provides development operations support, and coordinates key board-related administrative functions. This role is central to building the infrastructure and relationships that position the organization for long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
1. Individual Donor Growth & CRM Management (35%)
• Expand organization’s individual donor base through targeted outreach, cultivation, and consistent follow-up
• Lead growth of recurring giving through tailored communications and donor journeys
• Manage and optimize the donor CRM (Givebutter), ensuring data accuracy, segmentation, and reporting
• Track fundraising KPIs, donor retention, and campaign performance
2. Stewardship & Donor Communications (20%)
• Develop and execute a comprehensive donor stewardship plan (thank-you calls, handwritten notes, impact updates, donor touchpoints)
• Create donor-centered communications including newsletters, impact stories, and quarterly updates
• Maintain a consistent cadence of donor follow-through so supporters feel valued and connected
3. Fundraising Campaigns & Events (20%)
• Lead planning and execution of their two major annual fundraising events:
o Spring 5K Run/Walk
o Transforming Lives Fall Fundraiser
• Support event committees with agendas, materials, outreach lists, and logistics
• Manage sponsorship outreach, donor invitations, follow-up, and day-of execution
• Together, these events aim to raise $75,000+, supporting an organizational goal of $100,000 in annual campaigns
4. External Relations & Community Presence (10%)
• Attend community meetings, chamber events, church partner gatherings, and corporate engagement opportunities alongside the Executive Director
• Represent organization professionally within the Orlando philanthropic ecosystem
• Assist with presentations, community tables, and volunteer engagement opportunities
5. Grant Support & Development Operations (10%)
• Assist with grant tracking, reporting, and data needs
• Collaborate with grant writers to supply narratives, metrics, and impact stories
• Research new funding opportunities and support grant preparation
• Maintain organized development files, donor reports, and campaign documentation
6. Board Support & Administrative Coordination (5%)
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the Board of Directors, including meeting preparation, materials, and minutes
• Coordinate with board fundraising and event committees
