About the Role:

As a Design Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and supporting cutting-edge medical products from concept to launch and beyond. This is your opportunity to lead technical design, mentor junior engineers, and work on projects that directly impact patient outcomes.
You’ll work on a mix of new product development, product improvements, and sustaining projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class surgical devices. If you thrive on innovation, problem-solving, and making a difference, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Innovative Design: Develop and validate new product designs, improve existing designs, and create rapid prototypes using advanced tools like 3D printing and machining.
Technical Leadership: Serve as the lead technical designer, mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence.
Engineering Analysis: Perform FEA, fatigue analysis, FMEA, root cause analysis, and design of experiments to ensure product quality and reliability.
Quality & Compliance: Support regulatory processes, maintain documentation aligned with FDA and ISO standards, and ensure designs meet the highest quality standards.
Customer Impact: Collaborate with customers and sales teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance.
What You’ll Bring:
Education & Experience:
BS in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Materials Engineering (or related field).
5+ years of experience developing medical products (experience with metals or reusable surgical instruments is a plus).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and engineering drawings.
Expertise in mechanical design, rapid prototyping, and testing.
Strong understanding of statics, dynamics, kinematics, and stress analysis (FEA).
Experience designing plastic components and assemblies.
Mindset & Abilities:
A passion for solving tough technical problems with persistence and creativity.
Systems-level thinking to balance individual product and system requirements.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with customers.
