Job Summary

A well-established community bank in the Summerville, SC area is seeking a detail-oriented Deposit Operations Specialist for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a banking professional with deposit operations experience who enjoys working behind the scenes to support accurate transaction processing, fraud prevention, customer service, and smooth daily banking operations.

The Deposit Operations Specialist will work closely with branch teams, customers, and internal departments in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. Key Responsibilities

- Review mobile deposits, remote deposits, and check transactions for accuracy, compliance, and potential fraud concerns.
- Process, verify, and support incoming and outgoing wire transfers in accordance with bank procedures.
- Assist with debit card servicing, maintenance, fraud review, dispute research, and resolution.
- Support customers and branch staff with online banking questions, troubleshooting, and account-related inquiries.
- Monitor daily operational reports to identify discrepancies, documentation issues, or suspicious activity.
- Research and resolve internal and customer inquiries through professional phone and email communication.

Compensation and Benefits

- Research and resolve customer and internal banking operations issues through phone and email communication.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of banking deposit operations experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies, documentation issues, or suspicious activity.
- Sound judgment, critical thinking skills, and ability to help prevent potential fraud.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Fiserv Premier is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in community banking, branch support, wire processing, debit card servicing, or online banking support is preferred.
