JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for externally deburring/finishing high-quality parts with critical features. Reviewing/analyzing work orders with special
work instructions to meet company specifications. Utilizing air/electrical hand tools, burr knives, countersinks, abrasives to lap, break,
blend, and polish parts. Performs visual inspection of deburring operations, including the use of appropriate inspection tools &
gauges.
This position includes work affecting conformity to product requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Read and understand job step information and W/C priorities. Can perform WIP moves, work center transfers, and maintain
material lot integrity.
• External Deburr: break edges, radius, and blend machine imperfections.
• Operate speed cutter, angle grinders, straight grinder, orbital sander, buffer, burr knifes, countersinks, lapping tools, belt
sanders, drill press, washing station.
• Identify and change tools when dull.
• Visually Inspect part for any missing deburring completion (sharp edges, burrs, missing holes) before starting another
part/job.
• Utilize inspection tools: microscope, pin and thread gauges to ensure requirements are to specification.
• Follow Deburr Inspection Plan (DIP) when applicable.
• Identify non-conforming parts; nicks & dings, surface finish, voids, porosity, contamination, and deformity.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to use precise measuring tools and possess mechanical skills
