We are seeking a Dean of Academic Affairs for a direct hire opportunity in Orlando, FL. 

The Dean of Academic Affairs will provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for the Education Department, helping ensure that academic programs meet institutional goals, accreditation expectations, and student achievement standards. This position offers the opportunity to lead faculty and academic support teams in a collaborative college environment focused on retention, attendance, instructional quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

- Lead, organize, and evaluate all facets of the school’s Education Department to support institutional mission, objectives, and academic goals.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual retention goals, as well as the daily student attendance rate goal of 85%.
- Develop and maintain the master schedule for all programs and courses, ensuring appropriate class coverage by instructors, teaching assistants, and staff.
- Recruit, interview, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate faculty, staff, teaching assistants, Registrar, Student Services, and Library/Resource Center personnel.


Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $90,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Orlando, FL.
- Schedule: Must be able to work extended hours, including evenings and Saturdays, to meet business objectives.

Additional Skills



- Master’s degree in Education required.
- Degree must be from an institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting body approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a college-level educational setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the college level.


Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting accreditation standards and academic compliance requirements.
- Prior leadership experience in a career college, private college, university, or student-focused postsecondary education environment.
- Demonstrated success improving retention, attendance, faculty performance, and student satisfaction outcomes.
