A public sector organization in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Data Entry Specialist for a long-term temporary opportunity supporting high-volume data entry, record maintenance, and information review. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable using Excel, able to maintain accuracy while working with large volumes of information, and can quickly learn new systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Update, maintain, and track information across spreadsheets and internal databases.
- Review records from multiple sources to ensure information is complete, accurate, and properly documented.
- Sort, organize, and analyze data to support department operations and reporting needs.
- Conduct routine audits and quality checks to verify data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Research and validate information using internal systems and online resources as needed.
- Support administrative projects, operational tasks, and sensitive record handling with discretion.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Long-term temporary.
- Location: Long Beach, CA.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- 1 to 2 years of administrative, clerical, data entry, order processing, or related experience.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including entering, sorting, organizing, and reviewing data.

- Ability to learn new systems, databases, and department procedures quickly.

- Strong accuracy, organization, and time management skills.

- Comfortable working with large volumes of information while maintaining quality standards.

- Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information. 

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting a government, public sector, or highly regulated administrative environment.
- Experience with a Geographic Information System (GIS) or similar software
