Job Summary

We are seeking dependable, customer-focused Remote Customer Service Representatives to support a high-performing customer care team. Key Responsibilities

- Answer inbound customer calls related to utility billing, account maintenance, service requests, payments, and emergency-related concerns.
- Research billing issues, meter readings, refunds, compensation requests, payment inquiries, and account changes.
- Process move-ins, transfers, service additions, payment arrangements, and available customer assistance program requests.
- Provide service order updates, manage customer inquiries, and route escalated concerns to the appropriate departments.
- Navigate multiple systems while meeting quality standards, performance metrics, and team goals.
- Promote self-service resources and deliver a professional, helpful customer experience on every interaction.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $32 to $35 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Remote.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, within operating hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Assignment Duration: Through April 2027.
- Training: 13-week paid training program.
- Overtime: Occasional overtime may be available based on business needs.
- Emergency Coverage: During severe weather events or service disruptions, employees may be asked to work outside normal operating hours, including between 6:00 AM and 12:00 Midnight, based on business needs.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support inbound customer service calls related to billing, account updates, service requests, and payment arrangements.
- Research and resolve customer concerns while navigating multiple systems and applications.
- Process account maintenance transactions, service changes, refunds, and order status updates.
- Meet call quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction expectations in a remote work environment.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency using computers and navigating multiple applications at the same time.
- Ability to type 60 to 65 WPM.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and basic math skills.
- Ability to successfully complete a customer service aptitude assessment.
- Availability to work within operating hours of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Ability to attend and successfully complete a 13-week paid training program.
- High-speed hardwired internet connection with minimum speeds of 75 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload.
- No Wi-Fi-only or satellite internet connections.
- Private, secure, and distraction-free workspace.
- Ergonomic home office setup suitable for full-time work.
- Smartphone capable of supporting required security and VPN applications.

Preferred Qualifications

- 1 to 3 years of call center experience.
- Previous work-from-home customer service experience.
- Utility industry experience.
- Experience meeting performance metrics in a high-volume customer support environment.
