We are seeking a Customer Service Representative for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Cerritos, CA within a fast-paced manufacturing and operations environment. As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a key communication link between customers, outside sales representatives, production, design, shipping, warehouse, and operations teams. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and outside sales representatives regarding order placement, status updates, pricing, availability, and service requests.
- Accurately process customer orders, purchase orders, new item requests, order revisions, quotations, confirmations, and customer account information.
- Coordinate with production, design, shipping, warehouse, sales, and operations teams to track orders, expedite shipments, resolve issues, and meet delivery expectations.
- Monitor inventory levels, communicate out-of-stock or discontinued items, recommend suitable alternatives, and support just-in-time order coordination.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism while maintaining accurate records, files, and customer account details.
- Support order accuracy, invoicing, job costing, pricing updates, customer onboarding, and ongoing account maintenance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $26 to $28 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Cerritos, CA.
- 3+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales support, order management, or a related role.
- Experience processing customer orders, purchase orders, quotes, confirmations, and customer data with strong accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or order management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive customer and internal team relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, follow-through, problem-solving ability, and a customer-focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting customers in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or operations planning environment.
- Experience working with outside sales teams, production schedules, inventory coordination, and shipping follow-up.
- Ability to identify process improvements that support order accuracy, timely fulfillment, and improved customer communication.
