Job Summary

A growing manufacturing operation near Compton, CA is seeking a Customer Service / Order Entry Representative for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented customer service professional who enjoys supporting customer accounts, processing orders accurately, and working closely with production, shipping, sales, and internal teams.

The Customer Service / Order Entry Representative will serve as a key point of contact for customers and outside sales representatives, helping ensure orders are entered correctly, updates are communicated clearly, and delivery expectations are met. Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary contact for customers and outside sales representatives regarding orders, account updates, and service needs.
- Enter, update, track, expedite, and modify customer orders within company systems.
- Coordinate with production, shipping, sales, and internal departments to support accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Prepare estimates, obtain product quotes, assist with pricing analysis, and resolve customer inquiries or billing concerns.
- Maintain accurate customer records, monitor inventory levels, complete reconciliations, and support shipping documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $49,920 to $56,160 per year.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Compton, CA.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support customer accounts and serve as the main contact for order-related needs.
- Process customer orders, new items, changes, quotes, and pricing requests.
- Coordinate with production, shipping, sales, and internal departments to support on-time delivery.
- Track inventory, maintain customer records, arrange shipping appointments, and issue shipping documentation.

- 3+ years of customer service experience.
- Experience with order entry, customer account support, administrative coordination, or related customer service functions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new software systems and accurately maintain information in company systems.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to analyze information, resolve issues, and manage changing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, sales representatives, production teams, shipping teams, and internal departments.

Preferred Qualifications

- College degree preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
- Corrugated manufacturing industry experience preferred.
