Immediate need for Inside Sales Support / Customer Service Representative
A fast-paced and evolving manufacturing company under new, innovative leadership is seeking an experienced Customer Service / Inside Sales Support Representative. This role requires technical product knowledge and strong manufacturing industry experience. The right candidate can start immediately and has a clear growth path into a Sales Engineer role.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Technically minded and experienced in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Comfortable supporting complex customer needs and interfacing with multiple departments
Ready to roll up their sleeves, take direction, and operate with professionalism and urgency
Proficient in Excel, with ERP experience preferred
Thick-skinned and resilient, but also collaborative and customer-focused
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat
Provide product recommendations and technical support
Process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately
Manage customer portals and maintain detailed records of interactions
Coordinate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and outside sales teams
Prepare quotes, presentations, and proposals
Follow up with internal teams on order and delivery status
Maintain and update internal sales metrics and backlog reports
Identify and qualify new leads through research and outreach
Assist with contract reviews and order review processes
Qualifications:
Strong background in manufacturing or technical environments
Experience in customer service, inside sales, or similar support roles
Ability to quickly grasp and explain technical products
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, CRM systems, and preferably ERP software
Detail-oriented, organized, and effective under tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
