A local client is looking to hire a highly adaptable, customer-focused professional to join our team as an Area Customer Service Coordinator. This position supports multiple customer locations throughout Downtown San Francisco, with occasional assignments in San Rafael. As a floating team member, you will provide operational support across a variety of client environments, including law firms, corporate offices, retail organizations, and warehouse settings. • High School Diploma or equivalent.

This role is intended to convert to a permanent employee after meeting the required temporary assignment hours.
What You'll Do
As an Area Customer Service Coordinator, you will support a wide range of onsite services, including:
• Mail services
• Shipping and receiving
• Copy and production center operations
• Reception and front desk support
• Hospitality services
• Conference room setup and management
• General customer service and administrative support
Daily responsibilities may vary depending on the customer site assignment and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Support daily operations for contracted services across multiple customer locations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a customer-focused environment.
• Serve as a flexible resource to cover absences, vacations, training periods, and new site implementations.
• Assist with onboarding and cross-training team members.
• Help develop and maintain site procedure guides and operational best practices.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Escalate customer concerns appropriately and assist in achieving resolution.
• Communicate effectively with customers, client personnel, and Ricoh leadership.
• Collect operational data and support reporting activities.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and service enhancements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months of customer service, administrative, office services, mailroom, hospitality, reception, or related experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and file management.
• Ability to learn new processes quickly and absorb training effectively.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work environments, and customer needs.
• Dependable transportation to travel between customer locations as assigned.
Preferred
• Post-secondary education.
• Experience supporting professional office, legal, corporate, hospitality, or warehouse environments.
• Experience with mail services, shipping/receiving, copy center operations, or reception services.
Physical Requirements
This position may require:
• Extended periods of standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, reaching, stretching, and climbing.
• Lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Pushing equipment and machines on wheels weighing up to 400 pounds.
• Walking between customer buildings and locations.
• Close vision and regular computer use.
Work Environment
Assignments are performed in professional office and warehouse environments with varying customer expectations and operational requirements. Some locations require extensive standing and walking throughout the day.
Transportation & Travel
• Daily work locations may vary throughout Downtown San Francisco.
• Occasional assignments may be required in San Rafael.
• Candidates may be reassigned to an alternate customer site before the start of their shift or during the workday based on business needs.
• Mileage and parking reimbursement are available according to company policy.
• Free parking is available at the San Rafael location.
• Employees should be comfortable using public transportation, as parking in San Francisco is limited.
• Area Customer Service Coordinator (Temp-to-Hire)
• Location: Multiple customer sites throughout Downtown San Francisco, CA and occasional support in San Rafael, CA
Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (schedule flexibility required)
