Job Description
Our client, a well-established company is seeking an experienced Credit & Collections Manager to lead credit policy, manage receivables risk, and oversee collections operations. This role is responsible for balancing customer relationships with sound credit decision-making while leading a high-performing credit and collections team.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain company credit policies and procedures
Establish customer credit limits while balancing risk and profitability
Analyze credit reports from Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, and other reporting agencies
Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers
Review requests for extended terms, pre-lienable jobs, and credit exceptions
Identify trends in high-risk accounts and negotiate collateral or revised payment terms
Monitor accounts receivable activity and provide regular reporting
Identify accounts requiring third-party collections or legal action and coordinate accordingly
Implement liens on delinquent accounts as needed
Prepare reports on delinquent and high-risk accounts with resolution recommendations
Negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent customers
Approve collection placements and account write-offs within policy guidelines
Ensure proper controls and safeguards over customer data
Approve credits and account adjustments within authorized limits
Calculate and report monthly DSO and other AR performance metrics
