Job Summary:

The Credentialing Specialist plays a critical role in supporting state license specialists with the timely and accurate renewal of their professional credentials. This position involves managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, providing comprehensive guidance on renewal processes, and ensuring compliance with state-specific requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

High-Volume Call Management:

Handle a large volume of inbound and outbound calls related to state license renewal inquiries.
Provide clear and concise information regarding renewal requirements, deadlines, and procedures.
Efficiently manage call queues and ensure timely responses to all inquiries.
Credentialing Support:

Guide state license specialists through the entire renewal process, from application submission to credential issuance.
Assist with navigating online portals and completing required forms.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of renewal applications and supporting documentation.
Proactively identify and resolve potential renewal issues or delays.
State Compliance:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state-specific licensing requirements and regulations.
Ensure all renewal activities adhere to relevant state guidelines and deadlines.
Communicate changes in state regulations to license specialists and internal teams.
Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions, applications, and renewal statuses.
Utilize credentialing software and databases to track and manage renewal processes.
Generate reports and provide updates on renewal progress as required.
Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service to all license specialists, addressing their concerns and resolving issues promptly.
Build and maintain positive relationships with state licensing boards and other relevant stakeholders.
Escalate complex issues to the Credentialing Manager/Team Lead as needed.
Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the renewal process.
Provide feedback and recommendations for process enhancements and system improvements.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in credentialing, licensing, or a related field.
Proven experience handling high-volume call environments.
Strong understanding of state licensing processes and regulations (preferred).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Proficient in using computer applications, including credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Detail-oriented and accurate, with a commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to learn and retain large amounts of state-specific rules and regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
