Our client is seeking a Cost Accountant to support manufacturing and production costing. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate product costs, analyzing standard versus actual cost variances, and preparing detailed cost and margin reports. The Cost Accountant will monitor inventory accuracy, support physical inventories and cycle counts, and reconcile inventory to the general ledger. This position partners closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings to ensure cost accuracy. The role will also prepare monthly gross margin analysis by customer and product family and identify key inventory drivers. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, assisting with month-end and year-end close, and supporting audit requirements. Strong Excel skills and experience within a manufacturing environment are essential. This position reports directly to the Controller and requires a detail-oriented, analytical team player with strong communication skills.
