Job Summary

A respected legal services organization is seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant to join its Corporate Practice Group in Tampa, FL. The Corporate Legal Assistant will support sophisticated corporate and transactional matters while working closely with senior attorneys. Key Responsibilities

- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys within the Corporate Practice Group.
- Prepare, proofread, format, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and corporate materials.
- Manage attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, schedule virtual conferences, and track deadlines.
- Handle client billing, expense reports, new matter openings, client intake, and conflict checks.
- Maintain electronic and physical files while ensuring documents and communications are organized and accessible.
- Manage incoming communications and provide responsive, professional support to attorneys, clients, and internal teams.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $75,000 to $80,000 per year.
- Candidates seeking compensation above $80,000 should have substantial relevant experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support attorneys with corporate and transactional legal administrative needs.
- Manage legal documents, calendars, billing, expenses, matter openings, and conflict checks.
- Coordinate meetings, communications, files, and day-to-day attorney workflow.
- Maintain accuracy, organization, and professionalism in a deadline-driven legal environment.

- Minimum of 3 years of law firm or corporate legal department experience.
- Experience supporting attorneys in a transactional or corporate practice environment is strongly valued.
- Strong administrative, organizational, proofreading, grammar, and document formatting skills.
- Experience with legal billing, expense reports, client intake, new matter setup, and conflict checks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, shifting deadlines, and competing attorney needs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work product.
- Professional communication, discretion, maturity, and client service skills.
- Ability to remain composed, proactive, and effective in a demanding legal environment.
- Professional references will be verified prior to interview consideration.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in corporate law, business transactions, corporate governance, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions support, entity formation, entity maintenance, or general corporate practice.
- Prior experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced legal practice group.
- Bilingual skills are helpful but not required.
- Long-term interest in growing within a corporate legal support role.
