Our client is seeking a Controller to manage their firm’s financial operations. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing operational tasks and strategic functions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks Plus, Excel, and Salesforce, with experience in commission-based environments. You’ll help oversee budgeting, cash flow, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Strategy
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Collaborate with leadership on financial projections and cash flow management.
Develop financial strategies and track performance.
Accounting Operations
Oversee day-to-day functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
Manage client billing, track payments, and resolve discrepancies.
Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close processes.
Support payroll, including commission calculations using Salesforce data.
Cash Flow Management & Projections
Monitor cash flow, ensure adequate working capital, and provide projections.
Assist in updating cash flow forecasts regularly.
Compliance & Oversight
Ensure compliance with GAAP and financial controls.
Coordinate audits and tax filings with external accountants.
Technology & Systems
Manage QuickBooks Plus, Excel, and Salesforce for financial reporting.
Ensure payroll export from Salesforce to Insperity.
Streamline internal systems and workflows for efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a commission-based environment.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Plus, Excel, and Salesforce.
Expertise in budgeting, financial projections, and cash flow management.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to communicate financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
Commission-based payroll experience.
Familiarity with Insperity for payroll.
Experience with Salesforce exports for payroll processing.
