Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Corporate Controller to join our leadership team at a dynamic and growing manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in public accounting, multi-entity consolidation, and audit leadership. This individual will oversee all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls while managing a high-performing accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP/AR, payroll, cost accounting, inventory, and fixed assets.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and consolidate multi-entity financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting.
Oversee all aspects of audit preparation and manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and audit standards.
Develop and maintain a strong system of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to support strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Monitor and analyze manufacturing cost structures, inventory variances, and operational KPIs to improve profitability and efficiency.
Lead system improvements and automation initiatives across financial systems and ERP platforms.
Stay current on technical accounting issues, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
Provide coaching and leadership to the accounting team, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
CPA certification is required.
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience.
Proven track record in manufacturing environments and multi-entity operations.
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and external audit processes.
Experience working in mid-sized to large private or publicly-held companies.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience:
Hands-on experience with cost accounting and inventory management in manufacturing settings.
Exposure to M&A integration and accounting system implementations.
Background working with international subsidiaries or multi-currency consolidations.
