Position: Controller & Audit Lead
Salary: $85,000 + benefits

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience in a similar role.
• Indispensable: proven experience in external audits.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Dynamics (GP).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Strong customer service orientation (internal and external).
• Ability to lead teams effectively and collaborate with different departments.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.

Summary:
The Controller is responsible for supervising and ensuring the effective operation of the Finance Department in support of the CFO. This role oversees financial and accounting activities across the company and its affiliates, guaranteeing compliance, accuracy, and reliability of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities (Condensed):
• Supervise, monitor, and guide Finance operations, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, efficient workflows, accurate transaction recording, reconciliations, closings, and financial statements.
• Ensure projects, reports, and closings are completed accurately and on time (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, credit controls, and internal procedures to ensure compliance, integrity, and effective credit management.
• Coordinate and support external and internal audits, providing required documentation and addressing findings.
• Oversee treasury management, including cash flow, liquidity, risk management, banking operations, and weekly fund transfers.
• Supervise payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes, including credit memos, commission calculations, and sales results reporting.
• Manage tax obligations, including preparation, review, filing, and payment of corporate tax reports (sales & use, withholdings, property, business license, etc.), ensuring compliance with local and federal requirements.
• Provide financial and strategic analysis to support executive decision-making, identify opportunities, and recommend improvements for efficiency and profitability.
• Prepare financial data, metrics, and reports for the CFO and other executives, and present recommendations based on findings.
• Collaborate on legal actions or bankruptcy cases for debt recovery.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls and ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Uphold company mission, vision, values, and customer service culture.
• Lead and manage Finance staff (Accounting Supervisor and Credit & AR Supervisor), ensuring compliance with HR policies, training, evaluations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and employee development.
