Position Overview
A well established, multi entity organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting functions. This role is responsible for the oversight of accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supervising the accounting team. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to manage financial activities across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Oversight
• Provide overall leadership and oversight of accounting operations across multiple entities
• Ensure accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
• Oversee general ledger, month end close, account reconciliations, and financial controls
• Coordinate and support audits, tax preparation, and external reporting requirements
Leadership & Team Management
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team
• Establish priorities, workflows, and internal controls to support accuracy and efficiency
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high performance accounting environment
Financial Management & Analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Partner with executive leadership to provide insights on financial performance
• Monitor cash flow, intercompany transactions, and consolidations across entities
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost efficiencies

Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple legal entities
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize work, and lead with minimal oversight
Highly Preferred
• CPA designation
• Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or related industries
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems supporting multi entity environments
