About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee financial operations for a growing manufacturing and distribution organization. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for strengthening financial reporting, improving operational visibility, and partnering closely with leadership to support continued growth.
This role is ideal for someone who is both detail-oriented and strategic, comfortable working in the day-to-day accounting functions while also identifying trends, solving problems, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and month-end close
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and internal reporting packages
Ensure financial data integrity, compliance, and reporting accuracy
Partner with leadership to analyze business performance and support decision-making
Evaluate financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency
Work closely with operations to align financial and business performance
Leverage ERP systems to improve automation, accuracy, and efficiency
Support audits and financial reviews as needed
What We’re Looking For
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience (10+ preferred)
Strong background in manufacturing or distribution environments
Experience with cost accounting and inventory management required
Solid understanding of financial reporting and operational finance
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar strongly preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a root-cause mindset
Ability to communicate clearly with leadership and cross-functional teams
High level of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
