Our client, a growing and well-established machine manufacturing company, is seeking a highly experienced Controller to lead its accounting and financial reporting operations. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and support the leadership of a key subsidiary. This opportunity is best suited for a proven manufacturing finance leader with deep technical accounting expertise, strong ERP experience, and a hands-on leadership style.

REQUIREMENTS (Must Have):
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
10+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting compliance
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong background in internal controls, audits, and tax compliance
Hands-on experience with SAP (ERP) and Hyperion (consolidations)
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint
Proven ability to manage month-end and year-end close in a multi-entity environment
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities
Position Overview:
The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls for a key subsidiary of the organization. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to the CFO, supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and working capital planning while leading and developing the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and bank covenants
Design and maintain strong internal controls
Lead external audit and tax coordination
Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance and incentives
Close & Consolidation
Direct month-end and year-end close processes
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidation packages for parent company reporting
Process Improvement
Drive automation, system enhancements, and process optimization
Partner with parent company on ERP and reporting system efficiency
Financial Planning & Analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
Partner with CFO on working capital and liquidity management
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and develop the accounting team
Build strong relationships with operations, corporate finance, and executive leadership
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary Target: $140,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
Bonus: 10% annual
