Location: San Diego Downtown (in-office only 2-3x/month)

Known for operational excellence and strong owner relationships, we are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls at the corporate level.
Position Summary
The Corporate Controller will oversee all accounting functions for the company’s hotel portfolio and corporate entities. This role partners closely with executive leadership, asset management, ownership groups, and property-level finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and scalable accounting processes in a multi-entity hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead corporate and property-level accounting operations across a multi-hotel portfolio
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and consolidated reporting
Ensure accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage and develop corporate accounting staff and property controllers
Establish, maintain, and enhance internal controls and accounting policies
Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and treasury functions
Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
Partner with operations, asset management, and ownership on financial strategy
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
Evaluate and implement accounting systems and process improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
8+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
Strong hospitality accounting background (hotel management company or ownership experience required)
Deep knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity consolidation
Experience overseeing multiple properties and corporate entities
Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills
Proven leadership, communication, and team development abilities
Preferred Experience
CPA designation
Experience with hotel accounting systems (e.g., M3, Sage Intacct, Oracle, Yardi)
Experience working with REITs, private equity, or institutional hotel owners
Exposure to acquisitions, new hotel openings, or portfolio transitions
