Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to join their Client Advisory Services (“CAS”) team.

This role will oversee financial reporting and advisory services for a diverse client base, providing key insights, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and improving financial operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong client-facing experience, technical accounting expertise, and leadership skills to support a growing and dynamic practice.

Key Responsibilities

Client Facing
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering tailored advisory services.
Design, review, and oversee weekly and monthly client deliverables, including financial reporting packages, forecasts, projections, and other analyses.
Present client deliverables during periodic stakeholder meetings.
Provide strategic financial advice and insights to support clients in making informed business decisions and driving performance.
Evaluate and strengthen client internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure reliable financial information.
Provide oversight and assistance with indirect tax compliance as required.
Internal
Partner with CAS team members and colleagues across the firm to deliver integrated client services.
Manage internal and offshore accounting staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery of financial reporting.
Assist with scheduling to balance client needs and departmental goals.
Recommend and implement process and technology improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience.
Stay current on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Active CPA license strongly preferred.
5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to both public accounting and corporate environments a plus.
Proven experience in client-facing roles providing advisory or consulting services.

Skills & Competencies
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel).
Experience with QuickBooks Online required; familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or other ERP systems is a plus.
Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to clients and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on actionable insights.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to quality.
Ability to travel to client locations, including occasional overnight stays.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
