We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team and oversee the financial operations of five small to mid-sized, family-owned restaurant locations in Los Angeles.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in the restaurant industry, a strong background in financial management, and a hands-on approach to implementing and improving financial processes across multiple locations.
Job Title: Controller – Restaurant Industry Experience Required
Location: Onsite – Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, payroll, and general ledger
• Develop and implement systems and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with external tax and audit professionals as needed
Requirements:
• Recent experience in the restaurant industry is a must
• Proven success in implementing accounting and operational processes
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with multi-location financial oversight
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus)
