Position Overview
The Contract Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the contract lifecycle, supporting proposal development, contract amendments, client onboarding, service expansions, and renewals. This role serves as the primary point of contact for contract-related questions and ensures contracts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on contract development, review, and execution for internal teams and external clients.
Review, analyze, negotiate, and revise contract terms and conditions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with standard requirements.
Manage contract administration, including amendments, renewals, extensions, and maintaining a contract tracking system.
Proactively monitor expiring contracts and collaborate with sales and account management teams to support renewals and service expansions.
Maintain accurate, complete, and auditable contract records in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Upload contracts and validate contract data in Salesforce and Conga.
Communicate contract status and relevant updates to internal stakeholders as needed.
Coordinate and track required supplemental documentation (e.g., insurance certificates, W-9s, Form 700, business licenses).
Support new and renewal vendor contracts through contract review, analysis, and recordkeeping.
Build strong working relationships across departments, including sales, account management, and leadership teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in contract management or a related field.
Strong understanding of contract language, terms, and negotiation practices.
Highly collaborative, team-oriented approach with a strong customer service mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
