We are seeking an experienced Consulting Manager to join a dynamic and collaborative team in Torrance, CA. This role is ideal for a CPA with a background in public accounting who thrives on helping clients improve internal controls, financial reporting, and overall accounting operations. The Consulting Manager will lead client engagements, oversee financial analysis, and deliver strategic insights to drive performance and mitigate risk. Full time $145,000-$190,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage and mentor internal staff and client-side accounting personnel
-Provide detailed financial statement analysis, management reporting, and KPI development
-Review GAAP-compliant financials, including:
-Bank reconciliations
-Accounts receivable and allowance analysis
-Prepaid and amortization schedules
-Inventory costing and valuation
Accrued liabilities and interest reconciliation
-P&L and balance sheet account reviews
-Evaluate accounting processes and recommend improvements for internal controls and efficiency
-Review budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to provide forward-looking insights
-Assist with capital structure evaluation, financing options, and M&A due diligence
-Maintain ongoing communication with clients on financial and regulatory developments
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-Active CPA license (required)
-Minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting
-Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial statement presentation
Skills & Competencies:
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
-Experience with accounting software including QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, and Sage Intacct
-Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
-Excellent communication skills and executive presence
-Ability to manage multiple clients/projects and work independently
-Willingness to travel to client sites (occasional overnight stays may be required)
-Flexibility to work overtime as needed
