We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for a direct hire opportunity in Austin, TX. This management-level field leadership role is ideal for a construction professional who can take ownership of jobsite operations, safety, schedule execution, quality control, productivity, and trade partner coordination on commercial, residential, and mixed-use construction projects.

The Construction Superintendent will work closely with Project Managers, owners, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to deliver projects efficiently and to a high standard of quality. Projects are generally less than $75 million, with occasional involvement in designated components of larger, more complex builds.
The right candidate will bring strong technical field expertise, clear communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, trade contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage on-site construction activities, including field operations, site logistics, productivity, schedule execution, work quality, and subcontractor coordination.
Lead jobsite safety efforts, including site-specific safety plans, toolbox talks, safety meetings, hazard correction, incident reporting, and OSHA compliance.
Review and maintain project plans, specifications, construction drawings, schedules, budgets, cost codes, production units, and project documentation.
Coordinate trade contractors, suppliers, inspections, materials, tools, equipment, and jobsite resources to support successful project delivery.
Support pre-construction planning, constructability reviews, quantity take-offs, pricing estimates, scheduling, close-out planning, and punchlist management.
Build positive working relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments while supporting client satisfaction and future project opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage field operations for commercial, residential, and mixed construction projects.
- Lead project safety, quality control, schedule management, subcontractor coordination, and site productivity.
- Partner with Project Managers, owners, design teams, city officials, agencies, suppliers, and trade contractors.
- Support pre-construction, constructability review, estimating, procurement planning, inspections, punchlist, and close-out activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of directly related experience, or high school diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of directly related experience.
- Progressively responsible construction experience with proven results in field leadership, operations, safety, quality, and project execution.
- Proficiency with construction management and scheduling tools such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.
- Strong understanding of building plans, specifications, value engineering, life cycle costing, construction schedules, budgets, cost codes, and subcontractor scopes.
- Proven ability to drive safety initiatives, maintain compliance, and support an incident and injury free jobsite culture.
- Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to become current with OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.
- Ability to climb, walk, lift, carry, push, and perform repetitive motion activities throughout the day.
- Ability to occasionally lift, move, and/or carry up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to travel to project sites and availability to accept long-term out-of-town assignments.
- Willingness to work in various climate conditions, including occasional extreme conditions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and logic skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills for working with diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and field challenges under time constraints.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Experience supporting complex projects and participating in operational growth, change management, and process improvement.
