We are looking for a "Safety Officer" to oversee and enforce safety standards across active construction projects in Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and minimizing workplace risks through training, inspections, and continuous monitoring.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week. 2 days off.
SALARY: $21 p/h + Benefits

ACTIVITIES:
- Prepare the project Safety Plan and Activity Hazard Analysis for each definable feature of work on the project.
- Conducts daily walkthrough of the project site(s) ensuring work is being accomplished safely and occupational health is not compromised.
- Safety training of all personnel assigned to project(s) and project site visitors.
- Accident and Incident investigations
- Attends and participates in all safety network meetings.
- Produce all Safety Report of activities performed.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in a discipline related to occupational safety (preferred).
- Previous experience working on construction projects.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as Safety Officer.
- OSHA 30-hour certificate.
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and travel between project sites as needed.
