Job Summary

A local construction company in Charleston, SC is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to support active residential, commercial, and office construction projects. This role is ideal for an organized construction professional who enjoys keeping projects moving, maintaining accurate documentation, and coordinating communication between project teams, subcontractors, customers, architects, owners, and general contractors.

The Construction Project Coordinator will work closely with Project Managers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where attention to detail, follow-through, and clear communication are highly valued. This is a great opportunity to build on construction project experience, gain exposure to multiple phases of the project lifecycle, and contribute to a team that values reliability, teamwork, and strong project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Support Project Managers with daily coordination and administrative tasks for active construction projects.
- Prepare, organize, maintain, and distribute project documentation, correspondence, reports, and records.
- Coordinate submittals, RFIs, Potential Change Orders, directives, and related project tracking logs.
- Communicate with customers, subcontractors, architects, owners, general contractors, and internal team members.
- Assist with project closeout, including as-builts, O&M manuals, accepted submittals, testing documents, compliance materials, and other required documentation.
- Ensure project communications such as emails, memos, and related documents are routed to the appropriate personnel.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000 per year.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate construction project documentation, submittals, RFIs, PCOs, directives, and closeout materials.
- Support Project Managers with project administration, reporting, recordkeeping, and deadline tracking.
- Communicate with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, architects, owners, and general contractors.
- Maintain accurate project records and help ensure projects remain organized and on track.

- 2 to 5 years of related construction experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to assemble information, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts.
