We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Accountant with construction industry experience to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in supporting project managers and leadership by ensuring accurate financial tracking, reporting, and job costing throughout the lifecycle of each project.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle job costing for multiple construction projects
Track project budgets, committed costs, change orders, and cost-to-complete projections
Prepare and review monthly project financial reports and WIP (Work in Progress) schedules
Analyze variances between actual costs and budgeted amounts
Process subcontractor invoices and ensure proper cost coding
Support billing processes including progress billings, T&M billings, and lien releases
Collaborate with Project Managers to review financial performance and forecast profitability
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure compliance with contract terms and accounting standards
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and internal controls
Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting experience within the construction industry
Strong experience with job costing and project-based accounting
Understanding of WIP reporting and revenue recognition methods (percentage of completion preferred)
Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, or similar ERP systems preferred)
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
