A construction company in Vista, CA is hiring for a Payroll and Subcontract Compliance position!
Temp to Hire, $35-$40/hr DOE
Core Roles & Responsibilities:
Ensure timely, accurate, and fair management of weekly payroll, job cost data entry.
Manage certified payroll.
Manage subcontract compliance.
Internal customer service as a key representative of ICS home office for entire ICS team.
Primary Duties (list is not comprehensive and priorities will change on a day-to-day basis):
Process and reconcile weekly payroll per the Payroll Processing Manual. Collect and review weekly timecards to ensure compliance, report deficiencies to filed manager. Collect and review daily reports for prevailing wage projects, confirm accuracy.
Ongoing communication with HR to ensure weekly updates to employee database have been completed. Communicate with ICS team for special payroll processing needs (i.e., holiday schedules). Provide timely communication to inquiries regarding employees’ pay.
Make requested/necessary adjustments to posted time or projects/cost codes.
Track, process, and manage wage garnishments, tool deductions, 401K elections/changes, etc. Maintain such changes to employee records is Sage to ensure accuracy and compliance for payroll processing.
Pay weekly Federal and State Payroll taxes online and record transactions in Sage.
Manage and maintain certified payroll and required documentation for all Public Works projects for ICS; ensure that Sage is updated with appropriate pay rate/fringe set up for each project.
Accurate and timely reporting and paying of Worker’s Comp, ABC contributions, 401K contributions.
Subcontract compliance:
o Issue MSA/SSA/Subcontracts as requested keeping in compliance with ICS contract for job ie: same retention, same payroll requirements, OCIP enrollment if applicable…,
o Collect/track COI and renewed COI
Provide ongoing support and training for other accounting functions. Hold other team members accountable.
