Summary:
•
Assist attorneys and paralegals through the performance of complex administrative and clerical duties
•
Process new matters and conflict requests and perform conflict maintenance on existing matters, as required
•
Review and process all incoming or outgoing mail
•
Ensure attorney time is correctly entered by the deadline and perform month-end billing processes
•
Gather client accounting information and generate accounting reports available through accounting software; ensure timely payment of vendor invoice
•
Maintain Florida Bar requirements (CLEs, Board Cert. Applications and Renewals, and Court Admissions)
•
Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings in coordination with the case team, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, court reporters, judicial assistants, and/or mediators.
Requirements & Experience:
•
Knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process
•
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
•
5 years exp. In law firm or corporate legal dept environment
•
Experience with complex calendaring in Outlook
•
Good understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
•
Construction Litigation experience is preferred but not required.
