About the Opportunity
AppleOne is partnering with a well-established leader in Commercial General Contracting and Facilities Management specializing in commercial, industrial, and retail construction projects nationwide.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join their Boynton Beach team. This role will focus on preparing accurate and competitive estimates for projects ranging from approximately $50K to $6M.

Position Summary
The Commercial Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project documents, preparing quantity takeoffs, soliciting subcontractor pricing, and developing complete project estimates and bid proposals.
This individual will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and internal leadership throughout the preconstruction process to support successful project execution and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and addenda
Prepare quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
Develop competitive bid packages and proposals
Collaborate with project teams during preconstruction
Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
Maintain pricing databases and monitor market trends
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and post-bid reviews
Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and aligned with project goals
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator with a Commercial General Contractor
Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Experience with quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid preparation
Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Autodesk Build, ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar
Strong Microsoft Excel and organizational skills
Excellent communication and time-management abilities
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
Valid driver’s license required
Work Environment
Full-time, in-office role
Standard 8-hour workday schedule
Based in Boynton Beach, FL

Responsibilities:

• Assist with post-bid reviews and scope clarifications
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts as needed
• Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and aligned with company objectives
