About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Defect Attorney to join a litigation team in Jacksonville. This attorney will handle all phases of construction-defect litigation and represent clients — including builders, contractors, developers, and other parties — in complex construction-related disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage construction-defect litigation matters from intake through resolution: including investigation, pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, mediation/arbitration, and trial preparation.
Draft and review legal documents: pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, correspondence, and other court filings.
Evaluate defect claims, assess liability and damages, and develop litigation strategy for clients.
Collaborate with team members, experts, and clients — coordinate communications, case updates, and strategize approaches to disputes.
Prepare for and represent clients at depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
Requirements:
Must have at least 3+ years of construction-defect litigation experience.
J.D. from an accredited law school, and active membership in the Florida Bar.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work well in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a litigation team and clients.
