Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to support our DOT compliance operations. In this role, you will review driver qualification files, verify credentials, and ensure all documentation meets Federal DOT and company requirements. The ideal candidate is a strong multitasker, quick learner, and proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The Compliance Specialist reports directly to the Field Compliance Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain ongoing communication with drivers regarding their DOT files
Enter and update driver profiles in the back-office system
Conduct follow-ups to complete 36-month employment verifications in accordance with Federal DOT guidelines
Monitor and maintain driver credentials and Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs)
Perform annual audits of DOT driver qualification files
Respond to unemployment claims, employment verifications, and financial verifications
Oversee and maintain the company’s Drug Testing program
Conduct E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility
Manage incoming phone calls and emails
Send Adverse Action notices in compliance with FCRA/ECOA regulations
Perform additional duties as needed


Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
1–2 years of related experience in compliance, administration, or a similar role preferred
DOT compliance knowledge is highly desirable
Strong typing and data entry skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accuracy
Punctual, flexible, and a strong team player
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box


Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with UltraStaff or Tenstreet is a plus
