Job Summary

A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced Compliance Manager in Fremont, CA, within the healthcare services industry. The Compliance Manager will play a key role in maintaining ethical, regulatory, and accreditation standards while partnering closely with senior leadership and business teams. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and oversee the claims management process for potential or actual health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims eligible for FTCA coverage.
- Analyze internal business systems, policies, procedures, and operational processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and ethical requirements.
- Lead compliance monitoring, testing, audits, reviews, documentation, reporting, and escalation of compliance findings to management.
- Create, update, and implement policies, control systems, risk management strategies, employee training programs, and business procedures.
- Track federal and state regulatory changes, assess organizational impact, and coordinate with business units to implement required policy or operational updates.
- Review marketing materials, disclosures, website content, forms, and related communications for compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

- Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Oversee FTCA-related claims management processes and serve as the primary claims point of contact.
- Lead compliance audits, monitoring, testing, reporting, and regulatory change management.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, control systems, training programs, and risk management strategies.
- Partner with senior leadership and business units to support compliant operations and policy development.

- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience researching, interpreting, and applying laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of compliance management, risk management, claims processes, internal controls, policy administration, and audit practices.
- Experience responding to regulatory requests, producing documentation, and supporting or leading regulatory exams.
- Ability to communicate regulatory rules and requirements clearly to business units, leadership, and key stakeholders.
- Strong PC skills, analytical ability, documentation skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide accurate, timely, and risk-based guidance.
- Self-starter with strong organization, problem-solving, professionalism, and the ability to work independently on moderately complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications

- Compliance certification from a recognized trade organization, such as CUCE, NCCO, or CRCM.
- Experience in healthcare services, FTCA claims, medical malpractice claims, accreditation standards, or healthcare regulatory compliance.
- Experience developing compliance training content, job aids, forms, and process improvement tools.
- Background supporting product development, process change management, or cross-functional regulatory implementation projects.
