Job Summary

The Community Outreach Associate is a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA for a relationship-driven professional who enjoys building connections, representing an organization in the community, and creating meaningful outreach opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable networking face-to-face, speaking with community groups, and developing long-term partnerships across Jewish, interfaith, and broader community organizations.

The Community Outreach Associate will work closely with marketing and outreach leadership while serving as a professional, trusted representative in the communities served.

Key Responsibilities

- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing community partners, organizations, contacts, and referral sources.
- Identify and cultivate new partnerships through networking, community involvement, introductions, events, and proactive outreach.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, programs, galas, clubs, and other local events throughout the Los Angeles area.
- Coordinate and participate in educational programs and outreach activities that increase awareness of available services.
- Prepare and deliver engaging presentations to community organizations, groups, and prospective partners.
- Maintain a professional, warm, discreet, and service-oriented presence in all community interactions.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $67,995 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional evening and weekend availability is required for community events and outreach activities.
- Work environment: Initially on-site and community-facing for training, relationship development, and role integration.
- Hybrid eligibility may be available after performance and training benchmarks are met, based on role and organizational needs.
- Full training is provided.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage community outreach efforts, partner engagement, and relationship-building activities.
- Attend and represent the organization at community events, meetings, programs, and networking opportunities.
- Develop new community relationships through outreach, referrals, introductions, and ongoing follow-up.
- Deliver presentations and support educational programs that promote awareness of services.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in community outreach, business development, relationship management, nonprofit engagement, sales, marketing, or a related field.
- Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to speak confidently with groups and professional contacts.
- Ability to network naturally and build authentic, long-term professional relationships.
- Sound judgment with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- High level of initiative, accountability, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Professional and approachable demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using Salesforce or another customer relationship management system.
- College degree in a related field.
- Experience developing relationships with Jewish, interfaith, nonprofit, civic, or broader community organizations.
- Prior experience presenting to community groups, professional associations, or partner organizations.
