A growing real estate and property management organization in Central San Diego is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee daily operations for a large multifamily residential community. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a property management professional with strong financial acumen, resident relations expertise, and hands-on leadership experience managing large-scale apartment communities.
The Community Manager will play a key role in driving operational performance, resident satisfaction, leasing success, financial accountability, and team coordination. Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall property operations, including leasing, pricing, resident retention, rentals, collections, payables, and resident relations.
- Partner closely with the Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure service standards, operational goals, and property objectives are achieved.
- Oversee office operations, vendor coordination, proposal and contract review, property inspections, and compliance-related activities.
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, capital budgets, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Lead leasing, maintenance, and administrative coordination to improve occupancy, performance, and resident satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with California landlord and tenant laws, Fair Housing regulations, and internal property management standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Location: Central San Diego, CA.

- 3 to 5 years of property management or multifamily community management experience.
- Strong knowledge of California landlord and tenant laws and Fair Housing regulations.
- Experience managing leasing performance, resident relations, collections, payables, and vendor coordination.
- Ability to prepare, manage, and analyze operating budgets, capital budgets, and property financial reports.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to partner effectively with maintenance, leasing, and administrative teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, organization, and resident service skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced multifamily property environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale apartment communities in the San Diego market.
- Prior experience partnering with maintenance leadership on property inspections, service standards, and capital projects.
- Strong understanding of multifamily pricing, occupancy strategy, resident retention, and leasing performance metrics.
