We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple commercial properties across Southern California. This role is based in our Newport Beach; CA headquarters and involves working in an open office environment. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of commercial property management experience and a strong background in bookkeeping and accrual accounting.
The position requires fielding tenant and vendor calls, including after-hours emergencies, coordinating repairs and maintenance, and creating scopes of work for vendor RFPs. You will prepare monthly tenant billing statements, post rent and cash receipts, maintain lease files and rent rolls, and ensure timely rent collection. Additional responsibilities include preparing annual budgets, monitoring monthly variances, reviewing and coding operating invoices, and assisting with site inspections and property management support.
The role also includes oversight of tenant improvements, coordination of major repairs, and communication with general contractors. Proficiency in Sage property management software (formerly Timberline), the ability to create journal entries, and experience with accrual accounting are required. A degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Property Management is a plus. Strong communication and reconciliation skills are essential, along with the flexibility to respond to urgent issues outside of regular business hours.
