Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

A well-established commercial real estate development company in Greenville, SC is seeking a highly organized Commercial Real Estate Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys the transactional side of commercial real estate. This role will support acquisitions, financings, land development, and dispositions while working closely with company leadership, outside counsel, lenders, and title companies to help keep projects moving from start to close. The company develops retail, multifamily, and industrial projects, and this role offers a great opportunity to work closely with professionals throughout the full real estate development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary internal legal contact for commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, development projects, and dispositions
• Draft and review transaction-related documents, including purchase agreements, amendments, notices, and closing documents
• Coordinate and review due diligence materials such as title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, environmental reports, and title exceptions
• Track transaction timelines, critical dates, and closing checklists to ensure deals stay on schedule
• Work closely with company principals, legal leadership, outside counsel, lenders, title companies, vendors, and municipal agencies
• Maintain organized legal and transactional files throughout each project lifecycle
• Assist in resolving title, survey, and closing-related issues as they arise

Qualifications

• 3+ years of paralegal experience supporting commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, or development projects
• Strong understanding of contracts, closing documents, and transaction processes
• Experience reviewing and coordinating due diligence items such as title, survey, zoning, and environmental documents
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience supporting land development matters is a plus
• Paralegal Certificate and/or Bachelor’s degree
