Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join a busy legal team in a hybrid capacity. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, organizing, and maintaining factual information and documentation in accordance with proper legal procedures.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a moderate volume of commercial real estate loan documentation and closings (approximately 25–30 transactions) from contract through closing, including developer transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing
Order and review title; prepare title objection letters
Work with title companies to order and clear title and B-1 requirements
Conduct lien searches and review surveys
Prepare and review estoppel letters and zoning documentation
Prepare preliminary Closing Disclosures (CDs) and settlement statements
Communicate with buyers’ lenders and other transaction parties
Resolve title, lien, estoppel, and survey issues
Track, calculate, and calendar critical dates; proactively request extensions when needed
Prepare organized closing packages and ensure timely closings
Perform e-recordings and facilitate issuance of title policies
Distribute finalized documents to all parties promptly
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law
Prior experience in a mid-size or large law firm preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet strict deadlines
