The client is specifically looking for someone with strong leadership experience who has overseen teams and has a background in commercial retail property management. This role will involve managing a full portfolio of properties, supervising five property managers, and working directly with the CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of commercial property operations, including budgeting, forecasting, tenant retention, leasing, and compliance.

Oversee tenant relations: negotiate leases/renewals, manage disputes, ensure compliance, and improve occupancy performance.

Monitor financials using Yardi (rent rolls, collections, CAM reconciliations, reporting, and variance analysis).

Manage property maintenance, capital improvements, vendor contracts, and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with brokers, investors, and legal teams to maximize property value and reduce vacancy.

Lead and mentor a team of property managers, operations staff, and administrative professionals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

Minimum 5 years of commercial real estate management experience (shopping centers, mixed-use, or retail strongly preferred).

Strong financial management background, including NOI maximization, budgeting, and expense control.

Proficient in Yardi software.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

Knowledge of real estate laws, leasing practices, and market trends.
