Commercial Contracts Manager, Pasadena, DH, $125-150K/yr DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Pricing & Quotation Management
Develop and manage complex pricing models and formal quotations, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and internal profit margin targets.
Prepare and review commercial proposals, pricing structures, and contract value calculations.
Perform variance analysis between quoted value and executed contract value to identify pricing optimization opportunities.
Partner with Finance and Sales to ensure accurate cost assumptions and profitability targets.
Contract Lifecycle Management
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of sales contracts, from quotation approval through contract execution and renewal.
Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.
Coordinate contract reviews with internal stakeholders including Legal, Finance, and Operations.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of executed agreements.
Quote-to-Contract Process Optimization
Serve as the primary owner of the quote-to-contract workflow, ensuring efficiency and consistency across departments.
Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements to accelerate deal closure and reduce administrative delays.
Support the implementation or enhancement of contract management tools and automation systems.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and Engineering to align commercial terms and technical requirements.
Ensure all stakeholders understand contract obligations, pricing structures, and delivery commitments.
Facilitate internal approvals for complex commercial agreements.
Training and Commercial Guidance
Provide guidance and training to sales teams regarding contract terms, pricing policies, and commercial risk considerations.
Support internal teams in understanding contract structures and compliance requirements.
Reporting and Commercial Analysis
Analyze contract performance and commercial data to provide insights on pricing trends, deal structures, and profitability.
Develop reporting tools and dashboards to track contract metrics, pricing effectiveness, and sales agreement performance.

Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years of full lifecycle sales contract experience
Prior experience working with government contracts required
Bachelor's degree highly preferred
Bilingual Mandarin preferred, but not required
Strong Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate terms that are favorable for the organization while maintaining good relationships with clients
Attention to Detail: Ensuring that all contract details are accurate and compliant with regulations.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze contract performance and make data-driven decisions to improve processes.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with clients and internal teams.
