Job Title: Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist

We’re looking for an Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist to join the Accounting team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing invoicing, collections, and credit risk to ensure the company receives timely payments. You’ll also provide support with sales tax filings, and financial reconciliations, playing a key role in keeping our accounting operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do:
Accurately prepare and process daily invoices in our ERP system.
Research and resolve billing issues while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Perform credit checks, monitor risk, and recommend credit terms and adjustments.
Proactively pursue collections using calls, letters, and email while maintaining detailed logs.
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Management to address account risks.
Reconcile A/R aging to the general ledger and recommend write-offs/adjustments when needed.
Assist with sales tax filings, commission reporting, and expense reports, vendor management, credit card reconciliations.
Maintain accurate procedures and documentation to support financial audits and reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
Associate degree or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and collections.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
Flexibility to support business demands during month-end or peak periods (occasional overtime/weekends).
