Collections Representative – Auto Finance

We are currently seeking a Collections Representative with recent experience in collections, preferably within the auto finance industry. This role is ideal for candidates who are customer-focused, comfortable handling high-volume calls, and experienced in negotiating payment solutions. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly preferred.

Training
• Paid training provided
• 4-week training program beginning at the start of employment

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls and handle inbound calls from customers regarding payments on live and terminated accounts
• Collect payments related to past-due balances, lease-end charges (mileage, wear and tear, property tax), deficiency balances from repossessions, and total loss accounts
• Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on pending actions or expired agreements
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and phone etiquette
• Manage and prioritize a queue of assigned accounts
• Perform skip tracing activities when customer contact is difficult and initiate repossession when applicable
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve escalated customer concerns
• Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements and training materials
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Recent collections experience required
• Auto finance industry experience strongly preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in a collections environment
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, call-driven environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus
