Collections/Customer Service Representative
Location: Onsite in Rochester NY 14586
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $17 per hour
Background and drug screening required

Job Summary:
Seeking a professional and customer-focused Collections/Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for managing outstanding receivables while maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will collaborate with credit analysts to resolve payment issues and ensure a seamless collections experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct soft collections by following up with customers via phone, email, and other channels in a respectful, customer-first manner.
• Maintain an empathetic and professional approach when addressing payment concerns.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts.
• Document all collection activities, customer interactions, and payment commitments.
• Partner with the credit analyst to evaluate payment trends and refine credit terms.
• Assist in resolving payment disputes, escalations, and complex account issues.
• Provide prompt and clear responses to customer inquiries related to account status, billing, and payments.
• Ensure a positive experience throughout the collections process, balancing company financial goals with customer retention.
Qualifications:
• Experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer service, preferably in a B2B environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive payment discussions professionally.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including credit and finance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with credit analysis processes is a plus.
