AppleOne is seeking a detail-oriented and civic-minded Office Clerk to join Election Season. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and clerical support to ensure the integrity and efficiency of the electoral process. You will be a primary point of contact for the public, assisting with voter registration, mail ballots, and general election inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
Voter Registration: Process and update voter registration applications in accordance with state and federal laws; maintain the accuracy of the voter database.
Mail Ballot Support: Assist in the preparation, mailing, receiving, and signature verification of mail-in ballots.
Public Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service to citizens in person, via email, and over the phone regarding polling locations, registration status, and election dates.
Election Preparation: Organize and pack election supplies for polling locations; assist with the testing and maintenance of voting equipment.
Data Entry & Filing: Accurately enter sensitive data and maintain secure physical and electronic filing systems.
Compliance: Strictly adhere to the Florida Election Code and office protocols to ensure a fair and transparent voting environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Citizenship: Must be a registered voter in the State of Florida (or eligible to become one).
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general data entry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain strict impartiality and neutrality in a professional environment.
Traits: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and professional during high-volume election cycles.
